Kathak is an ancient Indian classical dance is believed to have grown out of the art of the travelling bards of North India. These wandering kathakars used song and dance to chronicle myths and legends. Rhythmic footwork, elegant hand gestures, and versatile facial expressions add to the charm of this dance form. This class will introduce you to the basics, and help you pick up the skills to pursue more advanced study.
