Description
Immerse yourself in the graceful rhythms of one of India's most ancient classical dance forms. Believed to have originated in the Tanjore District of Tamil Nadu, the word Bharatanatyam itself is composed of three terms - Bha (meaning Bhava or expression), Ra (denoting Raga or melody) and Ta (signifying Tala or rhythm). So this introductory course will introduce you to the fundamentals of expression, melody, and rhythm and methods of integrating them into a dance. You will learn techniques to develop your footwork, body posture, hand gestures, and facial expressions.
